Hi,

to come not in trouble. You are using 0.9.8?! Thats the problem.
You did not use the right upgrade path.
You need to update to 0.9.9 first and after that to 1.0.x.

So the fastes way:
1. Create a copy of your existing 0.9.8 Database.
2. Run this statements: http://trac.knowledgeroot.org/cgi-bin/trac.cgi/browser/branches/knowledgeroot-0.9.9/dumps/upgrade_mysql.sql
This updates the database to version 0.9.9
3. Run this statements: http://trac.knowledgeroot.org/cgi-bin/trac.cgi/browser/branches/knowledgeroot-1.0/dumps/upgrade_mysql.sql
This updates the database to version 1.0.x
4. Create a folder with your knowledgeroot installation, extensions and config
5. apply the patch
6. Dring a bear ;)

This should do the trick :D

Please see also the release notes of 0.9.9 and 1.0.4:

http://trac.knowledgeroot.org/cgi-bin/trac.cgi/wiki/release104

Hi,

the upgrade path is to have a database running from version 0.9.9 and run the update.php in Version 1.0.
That will do the update on the database.

For your situation you could try to only insert data.
So in your dump should not drop table or something like that.

Hi,

so all looks fine now?!

To fix the error messages you should apply the patch.
And i will try to make a small bugfix release in the next days to fix that.

Hi,

could you replace the attached class-rss_feed.php.txt with your installed extension/rss_feed/class-rss_feed.php ?
Does this help?

Try also to disable cache in extension/rss_feed/config.php and set cache to false.
Does this help?

If nothing of this will help is it possible to get a full dump of your database?

Hi,

i think i found the problem.
You are missing the table "access" in your database! So this makes the trouble.

So the question is how it could be lost.
Is it available in your old installation?
How did you dublicate the database to update to version 1.0.3?

Hi,

it seems that you have no public content.
That means a guest user cannot see any content in knowledgeroot.
Right?
At the moment it is only possible to show public content activity in the rss.

Hi,

if you open the rss feed in firefox you could take a look at the generated source code.
Could you copy n paste the code here or attach it as txt?!

Hi,

if you open the url in firefox. Do you see an feed or do you get errors?
Do you see entries in firefox if you are logged out?

The RSS Feed will only show changes that are public to all users.

ok it seems that you did not enable the rss extension ;)
Klick on "enable" in the extension list.

Hi,

the sceenshot does not help.
What was the browser result?
What is shown in the main screen of the browser?

Could you also be tell me a little bit more about your environment:
which server side os? which database? Which php version? which webserver?
what extensions are installed?

Hi,

i take a look on the dump yesterday. But found no special problem.
Would be nice to take also a look on the full dump.
For that use a private way to give me the dump. You could also anonymize the dump. clear title, content and password hashes.

My problem is that i did not get the errors you have :/
